For some crazy reason my desktop background color appears to be green even
when I'm browsing the pages are green, Why and how can I change this?

If everything has a greenish cast, no matter what you're looking at,
either your monitor or your video cable is going bad.

Unplag and re-plug your video cable (both ends). While you're doing that
have a look at both connectors - does anything look broken? If so, try a
new video cable. If the cables llook fine, plug them in. Does the green
go away? If not, I'm afraid it's time for a new monitor.

Try adjusting the color on your monitor.

Your monitor could be failing.

I had a TV that did that once after a lightning storm. About half the
screen was green even when adjusting it to black & white. I bought a new
TV, I figured it was about as cheap as buying a new picture tube.
