Desktop Backgrounds

When I first installed Windows Vista, I I recall seeing four choices for
modifying the layout of a desktop background.

I recently reinstalled Windows Vista, and now I only see three: Fit to
Desktop, Tile, and Center. I remember there being a fourth one, but I don't
remember what it was called.

Anybody know what the name of it was, if it existed, and how I could get it
back?

I have 5 options.
The ones you mentioned, plus 4) Fit to screen keeping aspect ratio, and 5)
Fit to screen with cropping.
Why you don't have these, and how you would get them back, I don't know.

Hi Herm,

In addition to those three, there is also 'maintain aspect ratio' and 'crop
to fit'. I suspect that was it made available depends upon a) the display
adapter driver installed and b) the screen resolution you are currently
using.

Hi Herm,

'crop to fit'. I suspect that was it made available depends upon a)
the display adapter driver installed and b) the screen resolution you
are currently using.

Or it could be based on the currently selected desktop background (which I
guess would be related to screen resolution).

If the picture's smaller than the desktop, but the correct aspect ratio, it
wouldn't need to display 'Fit to screen keeping aspect ratio' or 'Fit to
screen w/cropping'.

Actually I figured it out!

Apparently installing DreamScene adds these two more options to the
configuration, and I didn't have DreamScene installed ATM so that's why I
couldn't see them.

The people that replied to me probably had the DreamScene Preview installed.
Can they verify that, or is there some other way of obtaining these
additional options?
