Desktop Background Personnalization Screen bug

I just notice something with Vista. The "Desktop Background
Personnalization" screen do not display the different wallpapers in category
anymore. They are all regroups under a "Unspecified" tag (instead of "Black
and White", "WideScreen", "Texture", etc...)

And there is no way to put it back the way it was. All this occurs after I
decided to use a personnal picture as background.

This problem is not critical, just annoying.

I don't know what to tell you. I've been using my own pictures on my Vista
systems, and that hasn't caused the manner in which the standard wallpapers
are displayed in the Personalize applet. How did you direct the system to use
your personal pictures? Did you browse to a new location, or did you put your
own pictures into the \Windows\Web\Wallpaper location?

I just tried customizing that folder to see if I could force it to stop
displaying the wallpapers by category, and, though I could change the way
they were sorted and grouped in Explorer, that didn't change the way they
were displayed in the Personalize applet. Weird, eh?

This has made me curious.

If you open an explorer window & browse to:

C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper

switch to detail view and see if the img##.jpg files still have tags such as
'Black & White', 'Textures', etc
