My desktop Background is gone. I'm using Microsoft XP.
I've tried changing backgrounds but it doesn't help.
When I start the computer my background is originally
there but soon thereafter during the boot up process my
background turns white and then a light brown and keeps
flashing back and forth. What can i possibly do?

Right click the Desktop, Select Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop, Web tab. Uncheck any Active Desktop content.

OK when I right click on the desktop and select
properties...there's only one tab at the top that says
General and there really isnt anything else to click
on..what else could I possibly do? Thanks.

Right click on a blank area of the desktop, or go to Control Panel, Display, if your entire desktop has been taken over by this image.
