Desktop automatic shortcuts deletion

I have some shortcuts that automatically appear on my
desktop at start up to some "undesirable" web pages.
I've tried deleting but they re-appear each restart, can
these be removed and how ?

Download Ad Aware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
and/or Spybot from http://www.safer-networking.org/
both these programs will detect and remove any spyware you have on your pc
