I am getting a new computer with windows xp,is there any way i can use this
printer,drivers for xp ? thanks
XP comes with basic drivers. You may not have all the same features
available as for Win9x/ME.
Being parallel port (does your new computer have a parallel port, many
new computers do not), you may need to connect up the printer, then turn
on the computer so plug and play will work.
If your new computer does not have a parallel port, I wouldn't waste
money on a USB/parallel adapter. I don't know how well it will work with
the 7xx series as they are all WinPrinters, and require full 2-way
commmunication to work. Many parallel/USB adapters don't fully support
that.
New printers are so cheap, and even the cheapeast are probably faster
and have better print quality than your 722.
