desk top icons

i was trying to install a printer onto my computer and
must of clicked on something that has made all of my desk
top icons to dissapear, i have looked on the desk tops of
other users on my computer and they are still all there
on theirs. I have tried to add an icon but still nothing
shows up
 
Try right clicking on your desktop. Click "Arrange Icons
By" then "Show Desktop icons".
