desk top icons

JERRY ROCHELLE

After I create icons for programs other than windows,
after a short time the icons change to what looks like a
folder with a big blue "e". How do I make it keep the
icons that I want?
 
this works for me......
======================================
keep custom icons in one folder and have icon properties
directed to that folder.
