desk top feature is not working

I have seen this same question, but there was no solution posted. Also
received failed message when asked to be notified with any solutions?
Anyway, only my "desktop" feature or options have frozen or become unusuable?
All other settings are fine, (slideshow, etc, colors for themes). For some
reason though my desktop now has become all white, other than icons, and am
unable to create my own desktop with pics or use default windows features??
Frustrating, but no big deal. Please give me the solution to this if there
is one. I have the windows xp 2002 version and have all updates, service
pack II, etc., already installed and working fine.

Are you getting the Active Desktop white screen? If you cannot click to
enable Active Dektop, then you must remove and re-install IE7. See the
following:
