desing view

I've inherited an over-engineered Access database without the basics. I'd
like to make changes to my forms, but I can't highlight/select the "design
view" to do so. Any idea why? I can select it in table, queries,
reports--just not forms. HELP! Thanks!

Sounds like what you have is an MDE file which is a compiled version of an
MDB with the source code stripped out. In an MDE it is not possible to edit
or view the design of any code-based objects (forms, reports, and modules).
You will have ot get a copy of the MDB that was used to create the MDE.
