Not so. Consider these techniques:
* The user can designate a different sent items folder for a single message
on the Options dialog for that message. This can also be done with a user
prompt on send using the VBA code at
http://www.slipstick.com/dev/code/setsavefolder.htm . This technique limits
the user's choice to folders in the default information store.
* The user can add a Rules Wizard rule to save all messages to a particular
folder, even one in a .pst file, I think (haven't tried it). Optionally,
turn off saving to Sent Items so the only copy saved is in the designated
folder.
* The user can set AutoArchive to move all items older than one day from
Sent Items to an archive .pst file and set AutoArchive to run every day.
This, of course, means the archive won't have today's sent items, but it
will have older messages.
