ok not sure how to explain it really. But I will try and
thank you for helping me, even if we don't come up with a
solution.

I used the look up wizard and it works just fine. My boss
seems to think there is a way around using the look up
wizard, when the task he is asking me to do is not even in
the program. Ok here is an example, and I want you to do
as I say, and follow these instructions and maybe you will
have a better understanding be able to help me. Click on
start, now click on programs, see how the box with the
rest of the information is being held for the other
programs slides out to the right, i.e. accessories, then
when you scroll over that the accessiblility slides out to
the right, and then as you scroll over that you get the
accessiblility wizard, and they all slide out to the
right. That is what my boss is looking for me to do, but
in access. I tried reading the book by Carey Prag, and
that didn't help either. My boss is looking for something
exactly like that, but with being able to select the
informtion that is put in the field in the design view row
source.

I really appreciate your help even if what he is asking is
non existant.

Thank you

The closest you can come to that in Access is a cascading menu. When a
menu bar or toolbar contains sub-menus they will generally expose the
sub-menu to the right of the parent menu unless there is not enough screen
real estate to the right in which case they will open to the left.
