Design View Problem

I've got FP2003, SP1. Lately, if I open multiple copies of FP or exit the
program and then restart it, I am unable to view any graphics (or
backgrounds) in design view for pages that I have not previously opened or
edited. If I reboot the computer and start FP, all works normally until I
again exit the program and then re-launch FP.

I have "cleaned out" the temp files, *.web files in cache, uninstalled all
add-ins and done multiple "detect and repairs". All these actions have been
to no avail. As soon as I open a second copy of FP or close and then
re-start the program, the same actions occur. In addition, instead of
opening the last web site opened, FP will open with a new page 1 or 2, etc.
depending on how many times I've tried to re-start the program.

Does anyone have any idea(s) on how to get FP2003 working normally again?

I am having this exact same problem. FrontPage just started doing this a few
days ago. I have reinstalled the extension on the web server. Cleared all
cached items on my local machine. I have also reinstalled FrontPage several
times. But the problem persists.

When you open a web directly off the server, all the files and folders show
up, but when you open a page for editing, all the image files do not show and
usually and linked style sheets are not providing formatting as usual. When
you make a change and try to save, you then realize that FrontPage has you
working on some sort of offline mode. When trying to save, you receive a
"Save As" dialog box as you normally would if FrontPage could not save back
to the server.

Any Ideas??

Thanks for the tips, but I've done both (been using FP since '98). Works
great after a computer re-boot but once I've closed it and tried to re-open
it or open multiple copies of FP, it just doesn't show graphics or
backgrounds in design view - it shows a box with a picture icon in it. If I
click the icon, it brings up the picture property dialog box.

As far as launching a web page vice a web site, I've got options set to
"open last web site". After a re-boot, that's what it does. However, if I
open a second copy or close and then re-launch FP, I get only a new blank
page, not the last web site opened and it starts screwing up again. FWIW, I
was using (but for now have uninstalled) J-BOTS Plus 2002 and then J-BOTS
2004. With J-BOTS 2002, it would re-open without the toolbar. With J-BOTS
2004, I get continuous "can't find toolbar" messages. Have uninstalled
J-BOTS but that doesn't seem to solve the problem. Obviously, somethings
corrupted but I don't know what.

Any ideas?

Thank you, thank you, thank you Jeremy & TJ!!! I've been fighting the same
problems for a week or so. Removed the ICRA add-in and "killed" the
FRONTPG.exe process. At least for now, FP seems to be working normally again.

Thanks I have the problem. How do I remove IRCA and ASP.net add-ins? They do
not show up in the add-ins list of FP. Do I go to add & Remove in control
panel?
