Design Prints Differently in PPT 2000 Versus 2003

I have created a PPT presentation in PPT 2003. I have a design template that
consists of three master slides. For the sake of convenience, my master
slides are "Title," "SubTitle," and "Content."

If I print any of those slides from PPT 2003, they are fine. However, when
a colleague prints a slide in the the presentation using PPT 2000, all of the
"Content" slides print with the "SubTitle" design.

In PPT 2000, I can view the Slide Master on a "Content" slide, and it looks
exactly the way I designed it. Everything seems in tact, except when I print.

Why does PPT 2000 not use the third Slide Master when printing in PPT 2000?
 
OK, that makes sense.

The confusing thing is that when I select "View | Master > | Slide Master,"
the third master is shown. It just does not print. This caused me to
believe that PPT 2000 recognized the third master.

If my memory is correct, PPT 2000 will retain the multiple masters if they
are in use and keep them on the slides to which they are already associated.
However, you can't use them on new slides or work with the master itself in
anyway. Never heard of the slides not printing correctly.

What happens if you change the order of the master slides in 2003? I would
attach the title master to the content master and have them first, then have
the sub-title separate. Try that and have them print again from 2000 and see
if that makes a difference.

Thank you very much! This worked!

All I did was rearrange the Masters in PPT 2003 so that the "Content Master"
was number 1. I was then able to print all three styles using PPT 2000.

As a side note, I was not able to "attach" the "Content Master" to the
"Title Master." The first two Master slides in my original version ("Title
Master" and "Subtitle Master") always remain attached, and the "Content
Master" is always separate. Originally, it was Master #3, and I moved it to
Master #1.

How can I "detach" two Masters, or change which two of three Masters are
attached? No matter what I tried, the original two remained attached.
 
Sorry I wasn't clear about attaching the two masters. What you would need to
do is to add a title master for your content master, then copy the current
title master onto that one. But, since re-arranging the order of the masters
worked, I wouldn't worry about it. :)
