Deployment Registry Entries

In the deployment project I'm building, I will be creating files that I want
to place in a new subdirectory in the user's profile\application data
folder\ directory tree. Something to the effect of:

C:\Documents And Settings\userprofile\application
data\manufacturer\applicationname]

In a registry string on the target machine, I setup the string in the
project to be

[Users Profile][ApplicationDataFolder][Manufacturer]\xxxxxxxxxx\ (for
Application Name)

but this didn't work. How can this be done?
