Hello:

I want to deploy Office 2003 via GPO. Does anyone know of any good TechNet
articles that cover this. Also will there be any issues with the licensing
key that needs to be entered when you install office. I did some testing
with Office 2000 and never figured out how to get around this.

This procedure is astonishing simple. Unfortunately you need some
prerequisites.
1. Look for the platform software development kit
here you need the core SDK and the windows installer SDK
If you installed these com ponents (500 MB) look for a file
orca.msi and install it.
2. Next you need the Office resource kit (ork.exe). Install it.
3. Start the executable and create a .mst file from the .msi file
in the 1:1 copy of your Office CD.
4. Start orca, open the .msi file from the office distribution
import the new .mst file and create a new .msi file.
5. Distribute this .msi file as usual.

I apologize for the missing URLs. I figured out this
procedure today and made no notice (but installed all
necessary components).
