deploy a patch

I want to deploy a patch released by Microsoft.

I did create the MSI and assign it however I have two
questions:

The patch requires admin rigths to be installed to local
machine.. Does the AD dont need admins rights to machine
If i will use GPO to roll out.

I use assign options however I cannot find the software
installtion when I clik start button.. I found it in add
remove programs/ add new programs..

How come.. I'm not doing publish?

Please help
 
I would definitely not recommend repackaging Microsoft hotfixes. They
contain numerous tests for existing file versions and you risk not being
protected.

Have you heard of Software Updates Services (soon to be replaced with a new
version, called Windows Update Services)?

This is basically Windows Update for your LAN.
