I have been having trouble with the CD Rom Drive.
I have a DVD/CDR (Primary master) and a CD Rom as a secondary slave. When I
put a CD in the CD Rom I double click the icon but get a message: "put a
disk in drive "E". I made icons for the desk top. When I click on the faulty
drive I get a DEP report
To help protect your computer, windows has closed this program.
Any comments
Thanks
John

It is shutting down whatever you are running due to a virus found, or a program or device not running right. Windows sees this as a security threat on your pc. I don't know what type of cdrom you have, or cd you are putting in but check the manufacturer of the cdrom. Also what type of data is on the cd? Is it something that might not run under windowsxp? 16 bit programs under dos will sometimes cause this. Or if you borrowed or downloaded something with avirus. How old is the cdrom? Does it have drivers, software with it? let me know.
