I am trying to figure out how to deny usage and/or access
to IE6 for a specific group. I can not find any info or
options to do this in Group Policy.

I have a specific set of users that I do not want to give
access to the Internet to.

I have other users that will log onto this machine and
need access to the internet, so I am trying to do this via
a user's or group's group policy setting.

How do I do this?

If the pc is win2000, winxp pro or win2003, you could set file permissions
for iexplore.exe or c:\program files\internet explorer. But this can cause
strange problems for those blocked users, because windows uses internet
explorer's code for other places too. For example htlm help needs it. So
those users might not be able too see help pages for some software.

I am looking for answers to the same issue that you are having. I can
disable access to the Internet Connection Wizard via gpedit.msc. If you
have any further information and assistance in this issue, I would be glad
to know. Thank you.
