Hi everybody

We have made a folder on our Windows 2000 Server, where we store all our documents
We have shared this folder til our users

How can we set permissions, so that users are able to

-See folders and files
-Open folders and files
-Make new folders and files
-Change folders and files
-NOT DELETE FOLDERS AND FILE

We want the users to able to do anything, BUT DELETE FOLDERS AND FILES

How can we accomplish this? Is it possible? Does it require 3th party software??

Hope someone can help us with this issue

Kindly regards and merry christma

What file system are you using? If NTFS then security and
sharing permissions are set to most restrictive. add the
users to a security group. add the security group to the
folders and give them all but full control and modify
permissions. that will allow them to do all but delete.
Also do not allow permissions to propagate from parent.

-Change folders and files.

Isn't modify the same as changing files and folders?
