Seems like a script was downloaded during a web site
visit, which changed my DNS settings? After I changed back
the DNS settings the computer running Windows XP could log
on to the network again, but I cannot access any search
engine on the web??? Anyone knows what is going on?

Yep, you'll find the answer here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.qhosts.html

The removal tool here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.qhosts.removal.tool.html

And the M$ Patch here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-040.asp

Good luck!
