denied permission to download

I recently installed IE 7, which I suspect is the cause of my problem. I went
to Adobe and tried to download their reader, but a Windows popup appears
telling me I don't have permission. Can someone tell me what's going on? It's
my own PC, very new, Service Pack 2, I am the "Administrator" on it. Thanks.
