i recently installed windows media connection software so i can connect my pc
to my ps3. i am running media center xp.

now when i try to connect to my pc from our laptop i get the following:

microsoft windows network : Multiple connections to a server or shared
resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed.
disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resouce and try
again

sounds like it is telling me that the ps3 is connected so i cant with the
laptop until i disconnect that. i close the wmc, that didnt work, i turned
off ps3, and still dosent work. can't i make it so all computers and devices
connected can access the main pc at once?

i would not consider myself expert with networking, thought i have been able
to make them without "outside" help, i always seem to have to relearn the
process.
any suggestions?

A suggestion: post your question to a newsgroup that is related to the
question.

This one is for .NET Framework programming questions, and you question
does not as near as I can tell involve programming with the .NET Framework.

You'll get better results if you post in an appropriate Windows group,
rather
than in this .NET programming group.
To find the group you need, go here:

http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...spx?guid=1080912A-26C5-7040-AFDD-2224A4FEB3EA

Then open your language in the TreeView on the left, scroll down to
"Windows", open and scroll down to "Windows Media Center Edition" and select
a
group from that category.
