ACDSee 6.0 locked while loading a folder with various
vidoe files. Now I get "access denied - another program
may be using the files" messsages when I try to access the
files. They still show up on explorer directory, and
don't appear to be otherwise corrupted.

Any way to regain access to these files, or are they lost
forever? I other words, to remove the switch ( I assume)
that is mistakenly prohibiting access.

Using Windows XP pro on a pentium 4, NTFS.

THANKS!

Do you get that response when you try viewing the files using ACDsee and
have you rebooted since this issue?

Something else you might try, use System Restore to take you back to a time
prior to when this began. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\System Restore.

I'm having the same problem with a folder
It says access is denied and the folder may be in use alread
but... i'm neither sharing files on a network or have the file in use

It won't let me delete the folder or change it's properties or anything. I can't find a solution at all
I'm in dire need to get this folder removed or fixed... because it was created via an online game and it's preventing me from playing the game now.

First, try deleing its contents one by one, then try deleting the folder.
