For reasons I won't go into (software related) I most
recently reformated my hard disk and re-installed Windows
XP Professionel
IE was working as usual but then all of a sudden (after
the installation of many programs and much tweaking with
Tweak UI, (who knows if this might be the cause?), IE 6
decided to stop me from accessing Tools - Internet
Options, on my personel settings (I am classified as
Administrator on every leave ie. Administrators, Backup
Operators, Power Users, Users) with this precise message
(toung firmly implanted in check) "This operation has
been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administrator." My
wife who is an administrator can access this area without
restriction? Go figure.
Since I am also the administrator I told myself then I
asked myself, as administrator what the -*@!$ put what
ever word you feel is appropriate here! - does this mean?
All I want to do is be able to access IE Tools - Internet
Options like I could before. Or maybe you could recomend
a good browser or operating system for me to replace this
one with?
Brian
P.S. Would anyone who feels inclined and has such
knowledge please contact me by email.
(e-mail address removed)
Thank you
