hi,

i have a problem deleting a file i created. its actually an empty folder on
my storage drive that contains nothing. for some reason whenever i try to
delete the folder, i get an error alerting me folder cannot be accessed.
i've tried viewing the folder for hidden files but found none.

i'm running WXP with SP2. thank you very much.

I would then try and track down what program is using the folder and remove
it and then you should succesfully be able to remove this folder.

thanks andy,
unfortunately this didn't enable me to delete the file. i did learn that
the error stated that the folder may be "protected" or "in use by another
program"

If it's a permission problem, take ownership of the folder and then delete.
If you type the term "ownership" into XP's help and support, the search
results will include a link to the MSKB article that covers the procedure.

Otherwise, might want to try "MoveOnBoot" from Gibin Software:
