When did a.c.v. become an anti-virus newsgroup? I miss the old days
when viruses themselves were actually discussed.

no offense intended,

In June '01 Steve Sprague createed a charter and had a.c.a-v created to discuss the
elimination of viruses. I think there was confusion that a.c.v was meant to discuss
creating viruses (or something to that effect).

a.c.v dis not become a.c.a-v since both exist in parallel.

Me too, now it is all about browser hijackers and adware/spyware stuff - that is when peeps aren't complaining about
how brand X AV let them down by letting in adware that brand Y caught.
no offense intended,

None taken (but this is a.c.a-v not a.c.v. - not that there is much difference these days)
