Test for Dementia

Below are four (4) questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly. You can 't take your time, answer all of them immediately. OK?

First Question:

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?

Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000 Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20 .. Now add another 1000. Now add 10 . What is the total?

The correct answer is actually 4100 .



If you don't believe it, check it with a calculator! Today is definitely not your day, is it ? Maybe you'll get the last question right... Maybe.

Okay, now the bonus round:

Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of sunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants?

You must be quite special then..The questions that were asked in this thest were in an American servey in 1999.. 100 000 people partisipated, and of those 100 000 people only 15% scored higher than 2 out of 5

My mum says i'm special. :lol:

Not really i had a friend who was in Military Intelligence who likes lateral thinking questions so i have heard pretty much all of them.

Plus from how the first one is phrased you can tell they are designed to make you think the wrong way.

A bit like "Who wants to be a Millionaire" its easy if you know the answers.

Edit: If i thought about it i probably know a good couple of hundred of those types of questions.

Ye gods I didn`t get one right!
But there again I was never any good
with those sort of questions.
