Does anyone have any suggestions for my case?
I am using Win XP with SP2, IE8, after I refresh my IE many times, the
memory size for IE application is increasing, sometimes, my PC shut down
suddently without any notice. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to
limit the memory for IE application? so it would not use all ram memory and
cause my PC clashed.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Eric

Hello,

Try running IE8 with add-ons disabled. First ensure that all instances of
IEXPLORE.EXE are ended in Task Manager.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No
Add-ons) to start IE8 without any add-ons. Try using the browser and see if
is faster now.

If it is much faster now, start IE8 normally, go to Tools (if the menu bar
does not appear, hit the Alt key on the keyboard) > Manage Add-ons. Here,
disable all the add-ons you don't need under 'Currently Loaded'
