When I try to open certain applications, I now get an
error stating "this module was created using a trial
version of delphi. The version has expired" i've tried to
boot in safe mode to allow internet access to download
lavasoft or similar, but my computer wont let me connect
to my ISP

has anyone got any ideas?

ive recently installed norton antivirus - could this be
the problem?

im not a computer wizz!!!

I had the same thing happen at about midday yesterday. As a quick fix set
the date back a few days and you'll have functionality.
The problem lies with Borland Compatibility Memory Manager.....You can't
find the program as there is no other information. I have written to Borland
about the problem but probably won't hear from them until next week. I'll
post the answer when I get it from Borland

sofar this has been issue because of some SPYWARE junks written with trial
version of Delphi. so it is NOT BORLAND issue. Trial version of Delphi is
only meant for __TRIAL__ purposes not for creating any programs that are
spread.

Latest updates of spybot and ad-aware should most likely pick that program
what causes this problem

download spybot seek & destroy from http://security.kolla.de
install it, update it, and RUN it...

download AdAware from www.lavasoft.de install it, update it,
RUN it...

I had the same problem earlier today (11/27). Another
newsgroup had a solution that I tried and it worked. Go
to "http://bdn.borland.com/articles/0,1410,31856,00.html"
and follow the instructions.
