delphi error

my friend has a brand new 4600 dell computer, all of a
sudden he is getting this Delphi subscription
expired/error message, and he has no idea what this is. He
also with this can't go anywhere on his computer, can't
get online etc. As he recalls he hasn't downloaded
anything that would be expiring as of yet, sys is only
about 4 mos old

Spyware in general, one version of Hamster and a program called CPR have
been pegged for this error so far. The list may not be complete. The error
comes from programs that have been coded using a trial version of Delphi.
The trial expired, hence the error message when you run those programs.

Hamster has a new corrected version of their program available on their
site. CPR -- I believe has been pulled from distribution. AdAware has been
getting rid of most of the spyware that cause this message to appear.

You can get AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Download, install. Update the
program online (new definitions are constantly released) and then scan the
system.
