Light comes on but no picture to screen. Fixable?

I'm sure it is if only enough of the right parts are
replaced. Better question is whether it's cost-effective to
fix but based on the symptom there's no way to know, nor did
you mention the age or duty cycle (# of on hours).

Did it work fine then all of a sudden one day it wouldn't
turn on besides the light, or ???

yes...one day worked, next day didn't

I wanted it for photoshop work....might be able to find another one

You might be able to get it fixed for $150 at a shop.
Random guess. I'm assuming you aren't adept at monitor
repair or you would have been probing inside already. Too
dangerous otherwise.

Only you know if it's worthwhile.

yOU SHOULD CHECKTHE VOLTAGE SUPPLY ON YOUR COMPUTER

See below. Also, you should repair the shift key on your machine.

Are you certain it is the monitor? the way to find out would be to use
another on on the computer to make sure it is not something else.
Monitors are hard to fix. If there is a short it can blow a fuse but if
it keeps blowing fuses you have to find the short which I could never do.

Main power supply or, more likely, horizontal output transistor?
