Skeleton Man

Hi all,

I have a weird issue with the mice that ship with Dell PC's, and that is they
don't work on the PS/2 port, even on the Dell PC's they come with !

The mouse will function normally if you connect it via USB, but if you use a USB
to PS/2 convertor it doesn't even get power ! (laser doesn't light).

Any other USB mouse works fine with the convertor, it's only the dell mice that
have a problem (I have tried 3 different mice, 2 dell PC's and 1 generic PC).

Do the dell mice have a different pinout to most ?

Regards,
Chris

To work on PS2 mice have to be designed to work on
both interfaces. Perhaps the Dell mice aren't dual system.
It is not a simple rewire question.
