Touchpad launches files by merely pointing at them.
Tapping option is turned off...all other pointers (stick,etc...) turned off.
Have latest ALPS driver (5.4.104.4) installed.....tried deleting driver and
reinstalling.
Have tried slowing down...speeding up touchpad pointer
Tried different touch sensitivity

Nothing seems to cure this "auto-launch" problem.

I have the same or similar problem with my Dell Latitude D620. The computer is so small, the keyboard so tight, and the touchpad so large and sensitive, that I can't help but inadvertently touch the touch pad sending the pointed of somewhere on the page. This is excrutiating trying to type on this machine. It seems as though my thumbs hit the touch pad inadvertently, but I swear its almost ghostlike--I feel I need only be in the area, and not even touch it, and it sends the cursor off and interupts my typing. I wouldn't buy this product again because of it. Anyone knows how to adjust or correct, please let me know.
