Dell D400 - Installing Win2K from USB CD-ROM?

I'm trying to create an image for my D400s and I get getting a stop error
during the text install of Windows 2000. Microsoft has recognized this as a
problem (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;294820),
but points to the computer manufacturer to get disks for installing the OS.
I can't find anything on Dell's site to acknowledge this as even a problem.

I've tried booting from both the USB CD-ROM and from the boot diskettes,
neither work. Has anyone been able to get this to work?

My clock is correct. Thanks though.

Actually, now that I look at it, I'm not quite sure. It has the same
markings as a USB drive, but the connector is larger than a normal USB
connector. In the manual, Dell refers to it as a D/Bay connector.

But anyway, I decided to try the Win2K/SP3 CD that came with the
machine...and, go figure, it works. I was trying to use a regular old Win2K
CD to install it before. Everything seems to be working as of now.

Thanks,
Craig

The only thing that was wrong was the time zone was set to Central America
instead of Central Time (US & Canada), both at (GMT -06:00) though.

That took me to a "Please fix your system clock" page. Did you mean to send
a different page?
