dell 720 usb printer doesnt communicate

i have a 720 which i installed previously. worked fine. i later installed a
lexmark x73 all in one so i could scan.the lexmark wouldnt communicate so i
tried using the 720 again but it will not communicate. tried to uninstall 720
but keeps telling me that it is printing a job.i tried to cancell all jobs
but one would not delete. i reinstalled the disc that came with printer. it
installed but still doesnt communicate. could my problem be that the 2
printers are interfering. and do i have to uninstall one to make the other
work. help
 
You are correct, they interfere which each other. Most of Dell's printers
are Lexmark I think. You'll need to uninstall (completely) both printers.
Install the all-in-one first and run a complete test cycle before installing
the other, if needed. Disconnect both printers and do not connect the
Lexmark printer until told to do so during software installation.
Uninstall & reinstall Printer
