Back in 2005, I posted this question, without answer. I just got 2
emails from people asking the same thing, so I figured that I would
post what I found to help others who may be looking for the answer.
I couldn't find anything so I called Dell and looked at my existing
case with them. Luckily I found my case info in an email archive.
Here's what they told me.
This will reset NRAM, all passwords and system settings (including IP
info)
Press Menu button until "Maintenance" appears.
Right arrow until "Reset Clear Settings" appears. Press Select
Right arrow until "All Settings" appears. Press Select
Press "return button", little button under lcd, arrow with a line
above it
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Dell has been no help in resolving this issue...
Have a Dell1600nprinter. Can access the basic settings for review
only using a web browser. However, any attempt to change settings
requests thepassword. The username is the default admin, but I have
no idea what thepasswordis (I got stuck as the support person for
this printer - person who set thepasswordis no longer here).
I've updated the firmware using a usb connection, butpasswordremains.
Suggestions??
Kindly,
Ken
