Deletion of calendar items

I do not want Outlook 2007 calendar items to delete automatically from my PPC
phone. I only want to manually delete them. I have turned off all auto
archive settings that I have found, but the items still delete from the PPC.
I need these items to stay on the ppc for reference purposes. They stay on
the computer indefinitely.
