When I put a wrong email address on an email, that address seems to stay in the system even after I've corrected it in the Contact for that person, so it comes up automatically when I type in the name. How can I delete the wrong address so it is permanently out of the system and won't come up when I type the person's name in a new email
thank you,

Next time you see it pop up, press Delete

Thank you. So simple that i feel stupid not having tried it. It did go away. I was sure there must be a more complicated process

Now to get the new correct address in the system I assume I enter it once in an email and thereafter the correct one should come up, right? I assume I must actually send it, because just entering once and even saving it didn't get it to come up the next timje.
Even though the correct one is in my Contact it doesn't come up now, probably because of my deleting its wrong version, right
thanks so much,

Yes, that's all there is to it. The one in your contact will come up if you
type the user's name in. You didn't delete the contact, just a separate
stored "nickname" address.
