If you're talking about the list of most recently used documents, there's no
way to delete them from the task pane directly, but you can do it
indirectly. This same MRU list appears at the bottom of the File menu. If
you press Ctrl+Alt+Hyphen, the mouse pointer will change to a large minus
sign. Any menu item you next click on will be removed (*any* item, so be
careful!). Click on the document you want to remove, and it will be removed
from the MRU list there and also in the task pane.
If you want to remove all of them at once, the easiest way is to go to Tools
| Options | General, clear the check box for "Most recently used file list"
or reset it to 0, OK out, then go back and reset it to the number you
usually have.
