This is my second time asking for information on how to delete windows xp
pro. I previously had the Home Edition but I installed Pro over it. I have
no idea on what I'm doing. The thing is that now I have two Window XP Pro.
Which is giving me very little disk space. I need information on how to
delete Pro to leave me with one, or on how i can free up some disk space.
Remember, I deleted all my programs. The previous information I got Wasn't
very helpful. Somebody HelP!! PLEASE
Thank you for the information,--

Oh my, you're going to have fun with this one.

If it's a brand new copy of Windows XP Pro, I would suggest you call
Microsoft. 1-800-936-5700. They're available Monday - Friday 5am-9pm
PST, and weekends from 6am-3pm PST.

Call up and tell them you need help with fixing your Windows XP
Professional installation. They'll give you a case number and transfer
you through to one of the representatives. This way you have someone on
the phone to walk you through the steps.

Infinitly easier than trying to do it by yourself :)

Good Morning,
It is questionable whether you, in fact, have two separate
installations of XP Pro. Rather you may have a fouled BOOT.INI file.
This is something that is fairly easy to check, To check: Start/Run/type
"msconfig" (less the quote markers), and click "OK". This will open
the System Configuration Utility. Then click the "BOOT.INI" Tab. IF you
have more than one bootable Operating System, both configurations will
show there. No matter what shows there, click the "Check All Boot Paths"
button. If there is more than one path and the utility indicates that
one is invalid, delete it.
