I'm trying to clean up my explorer and have deleted all of the cookies, history, temp items that I know of. But I still have some web addresses that pop up in the address box when I go to search. Obviously this is emplanted somewhere on my hardrive that I cannot find. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this?

change the number of days to keep history to 0.

Stan,
If you've been clearing History and TIF properly (from Internet Options>
General) and that's not working, you have a corrupted History folder.

Delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be created on restart.
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.
