thank you for your reply, however, it's not what i need.

i need to delete all references to the .net accounts, so that when i run
msn explorer i will have no users listed and will have to click "add new
user" again.

what i don't want to do is delete user accounts on the computer (except
maybe the invisible "administrator" account - would that be ok?), which
btw is xp home.

thank you. have a great day.

Perhaps this will assist then

Remove the .NET Credentials [Stored User names and Passwords]
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/StoredPasswords.htm

this gives access to active network connections - no good here
Disable Storage of Credentials and .NET Passwords
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1286/

eureka! it worked! :-D
the only other thing i did was delete the following registry keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSN6\Users\[email protected]
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-39724495-4147511435-1043117835-1005\Software\Microsoft\MSN6\Users\[email protected]

thank you. thank you. thank you very much.
have a terrific day.

Glad I was able to finally assist you.
