I have tried everything. Certain ones will not delete, specifically read.php
and some edit.php. I have cleared the history, deleted cookies and files and
cleared forms, etc. Everything short of deleting ie. Where are these being
stored?? When I turn off autocomplete they are no longer visable however
when I turn it back on they come right back so that's a coverup rather than a
solution. I am running windows 2000. It's annoying, not life altering, but
I am stuck on it now, to the point where it's making me crazy!

Can someone help?

Hi,
Delete the History folder for that user account. A new History folder will
be created on restart.

Login as another user with administrator privileges, or from the machine's
default administrator account (from safe mode) and delete the affected
History folder from Windows Explorer.

You would not be able to delete this History folder when logged in as
yourself- it's "In use." You should be able to delete it from the
Administrator account.

You might also try CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ Check the boxes to
clear History and index.dat.

Hope this helps,
Don

Thanks so much!! i saw the talk of index.dat but wasn't sure how to go about
deleting them.. Anyhow, the ccleaner worked, at first I thought it didn't
but on my next restart everything was cleared!! You rock :)
