You may not use them, but Windows may as well as other applications.
Besides you will save very little space.
If space is that short, you need a larger hard drive.

try deleting 'sample' pictures and some desktop
backgrounds that you don't use. those pattern

You seem to be confused with the difference between
hard disk "used and free space" and lack of memory to run programs
Which of these actually is your problem?
Lack of Hard disk space due to so many files being on hard disk
OR
Programs which you are attempting to run not being able to access sufficient
memory?
[If you arent sure, ask someone local (ie someone who knows computers)
who can look at your PC and tell you!!!]
