After some years of installing updates to Win2K, over 540 MB of uninstall
subfolders and files appear under C:\WINNT. All the patches seem to work
well.

How can I remove this uninstall info from the drive and registry in order to
regain some disk space?

Thanks in advance.

I usually move them to another volume/partition if I can....because if you
delete them outright, you can't uninstall any of the hotfixes if you ever
need to.

Appreciate the info. Thanks.

Seems you move them (in my case back'em up off HD) but do NOT play with the
registry.

Yes, that's probably best.

Remove them only when you're sure you won't need to uninstall any of the
patches. Here is a program that will take care of it for you, and this will
remove their entries from add/remove programs list as well.

Something to note is that when you first run it, it'll tell you about XP,
but as far as I know, the uninstall data is identical to that on XP, and
this program works just fine on my 2k machines.
