I don't want to just turn it off - I want to delete it.

hi there. basically windows doesnt allow you to remove the
guest account because its a built-in account like the
administrator. its not good to remove built in accounts,
and the only safe way is to disable that account.

Hi

Can't be done. The best that you can do is disable it.

You can also delete anything relating to it under 'documents and
settings'. After which, there really isn't much left to worry about.

Hi

Deleting the D&S files/folders for the Guest Account could lead to problems if the Guest Account is needed at any time in the future.

Nope, it won't - a vanilla set will just get created from 'default
user'. On most system which have never used 'Guest', there won't be
anything under D&S anyway.

So, the 'Default User' doesn't matter where the Guest Account is concerned?
?

I think what I said was that it doesn't matter if the 'guest' folder in
documents & settings gets removed (many systems don't have one anyway)
... I believe that 'default user' will be used as the basis for a new
profile whenever the system tries to load a profile and discovers it
doesn't have one.
