what I would like is a desktop icon that would delete my
temp internet files simply by clicking on it. Is there a
simple script that does this, I'm using XP/SP1 ... thanks.

Why not opt to remove the temporary internet files when the browser is
closed? Then, you always start fresh.

I don't see that you need a special script (program) for what you appear to
want. Just do this: Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced
Tab/scroll down to "Security"/check mark "Empty Temporary Internet Files
folder when Browser is closed". Every time you close Internet Explorer,
those files will be deleted.

The reason why I suggested Disk Cleaner is that it's less than 500K in size,
you can run it from a floppy on any machine if you want to, also once it's
installed on your PC & set to 'silent mode', one click on the icon is all
that's needed, then forget about it.
