Milind,
What version of PPT are you using?
In PPT 2002/2003, just drag the tab-stop off the ruler. Move downwards till
the tab-stop turns grey then release the mouse button.
In PPT 2007 you can do the same but also on the start tab of the ribbon,
paragraph group, click the dialogue starter button, choose tabs, choose
delete or delete all whichever is appropriate.
I tried the same (version 2003). I am using Word for the past 6 years and
have no problems using tab stops. However, in PowerPoint I am just unable to
do so. Even if I move the mouse fully downwards nothing happens. I think I
have no other option but to re-do the whole slide. What do you say?
Sorry if this is obvious to you but I don't really know what your knowledge
level is - Are you definitely trying to delete tab stops (black) and not the
grey ruler carets?
Milind,
I must say this is the first time somebody complained about not being able
to delete tab-stops.
Forgive me for stating the obvious but have you rebooted then tried again.
Where are you using the tab-stops, in a textbox?
If the presentation is not too large you can send me a copy and I will have
a look.
