Deleting System Volume Information Folder

I'm running Windows XP Pro and just installed a new 200GB hard drive as the
primary. I had to load Windows XP Pro without the Service Pack 1. As a
result the hard drive had to be partitioned. After I installed Service Pack
1 I used PartitonMagic 8.0 to merge the two partitions. PartitonMagic took
all the files on the second partiton and put them in a folder on the new
merged partiton. The only thing on the second partiton was the System
Volume Information folder. Since I don't need this I would like to delete
it but I can't gain access to it. If I right click on the folder and try
and bring up 'properties' nothing happens. I've also tried to delete it in
Safe Mode with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
